Independence Day Celebrations Attracts the Crowds

The Independence Day Parade

Pine Bluff’s Independence Day celebrations held in the Angus Campbell Memorial Stadium, broke all attendance records. The crowd of 147 saw exciting displays of horsemanship and ‘daring do’ by cowboys from as far afield as Ceda Falls and Beaver Creek.

The event was preceded by a parade through Main Street which was captured by Gazette photographer Jeff Kennedy. The parade was led by the Dickie sisters and their friend Mary Lewinski followed by the Rainbow Valley Military Academy marching band and the Skunketts cheerleaders.

The day came to a close with a ‘Ho-down’, dog roast and fireworks display held in Pine Bluffs Memorial Park.
